Why I Subscribed to Your Blog

If someone subscribed to your blog, this is the kind of message that you might want to receive from them., right?

Dear blogger,

This is to let you know that from now onwards, I have become a subscriber of your blog. I’m sure you get this everyday, so I’ll try to keep it as short as possible.

I’ve been blog-hopping lately and that is when I came across your blog out of total random-ness. I’ve found quite a few good blogs while I’m blog-hopping but I do not want to subscribe to them all. Mainly because, I’ve already subscribed to dozens of blogs that I read everyday and I am reading at my full capacity. But in your case, it was something exceptional.

Well, as you might have suspected, the main reason why I subscribed to your blog was your content. I enjoyed reading a couple of articles from your “Most Popular” set of articles. Though I looked over some, I didn’t have much time to read ‘em. But judging from what I read, I’m sure that must be great. Not to mention that your headlines were the ones that lured me into reading them. But the content only over-delivered what the headline promised.

I was amazed at your unique brand of blog. Your tagline itself was an eye opener for me and if not for your out-of-the-box blog logo and the header, I would have easily overlooked the whole thing as I have 4 tabs open in my browser at a time, everytime I go blog-hopping. A highly commendable branding and a unique concept. That’s why I stopped and looked around. You might want to know that the last five blogs I visited had their titles say “Make Money Online with Your Blog”, and that’s pretty much over-rated.

I should confess that I didn’t read your posts fully. I just couldn’t get into the detail since I was running short of time. But the great things about your content was that it was scan-able. I could easily go through your second level titles, bulleted lists, numbered points and easily get to the core of the post without reading all the detail. But I enjoyed a joke or two at the start of one post. A good laugh never hurts.

You really get your readers going don’t you? I’ve noticed that you reply frequently to your blog’s commenters. That’s one thing I really appreciate. Gives me the feeling that if I comment on your blog, you’d actually take notice of it and if I have something to offer, it wouldn’t go to waste. Maybe if I comment (I do have you in my subscriber list!) you’d take the time and visit my blog too?

All in all, great content, unique blog, definitely worth the read and a sweet find. I’m sure I’ll be sending couple of my friends through that way. Keep up the good blogging.

Best Regards,

Subscriber.

Very Funny, Would love a comment like that but the truth is I came to your site cause you dropped by mine. I guess commenting does work!. I am still new at this….only 2 months but I learn a little more each day and love looking at more advanced sites like yours for tiips. Best Regards, rick

  3. Heheh. I like it :)

You’ve forgotten mentioning about advertisements on the site though (blog with bunch of ads, pop-ups everywhere is a good bye)

  4. Yeap, you’re doing a lot of things right Nishadha. I’ve been keeping an eye on how awesome your blog is becoming.

  5. Thanks. You maybe new to this Rick, but when I visit other blogs, I do leave my feedback when I feel there’s something worthwhile. And your blog was just that! Keep up the great blogging. And I’ll keep an eye on you! 8O

  6. Oh yeah. Thanks for pointing that out. Then again, I don’t see many blogs using pop-up nowadays, which is, a good thing. But, darn! Should have put that in. Thanks again.

You were kind enough to visit our post about Entrecard and I just had to come over to return the favor. Very glad I did! My background is ezine publishing and making the transition to blogging (which I did before but for different reasons). It was “easier” publishing if you wanted to know who’s reading, but blogging is much more fun!

    Enjoyed my visit!

  8. No problem. I enjoyed reading your blog Diane.
I second that! Blogging is much more fun.
