What tuning a guitar taught me about blogging
When I was trying to learn how to play my guitar, one of my friends told me an interesting fact about tuning the guitar. I should always tune it bottom-up. Not top-down. Why? Because if you try to tune it top down, the tension that gets your guitar-string to play a top note will break your guitar-string.

If you don’t get the story above because you are not familiar with guitars, it doesn’t really matter. What this really taught me is it’s the bottom-up approach that you should always use in working your blog-posting-frequency.
Suppose you are a blogger, just starting up. You try the top-down approach. You write 10 posts per day for two days and you are exhausted. Your inner-self tells you to quit, and ultimately, you submit to that. You think blogging is too much hard work and then you quit. The tension will make break you just like the guitar string.
Suppose you work on the bottom-up approach. You tune down and gradually work up your posting frequency. First, once few days, then everyday, couple a day, 5 times a day and then you are optimum with your speed. You know that’s the speed that you are able to comfortably work on and that you can achieve that without disappointing your readers or yourself. Just like the sound of a nicely tuned six-string will satisfy me and my audience when I’m playing it.

I enjoy reading your blog.
Being a guitar player made this entry even
Reply to BluesGirlmore interesting to me.
Haha..interesting.. I usually tune my guitar using a song though (in which the intro is a long E (the 6th string) so I have plenty of time to tune it to the right pitch)
