The top 5 Google AdSense alternatives

Untitled-1 If Google AdSense is just not working out for your blog or if you got banned by AdSense for some reason, maybe it’s time that you tapped into some other programs that can actually make you some money. The following set of programs are widely accepted within a large number of publishers and advertisers and can monetize your traffic, the same way you expected AdSense to.

Clicksor

clicksor_logo Contextual advertising technology by Clicksor allows online visitors to enjoy the content of the Web site and bring generous earnings to webmasters at the same time. Clicksor will pay webmasters up to 60% of the advertising revenue to place contextual ads on their Web sites or blogs. Payments are based on a net 15-term on a bi-weekly schedule. Webmasters can select from a wide range of media, such as text banners, graphical banners, pop-under advertisements, full page interstitial, search boxes, contextual inline links, layer ads and XML feed to host on their Web sites or blogs.

Yahoo_Publisher_network Yahoo! Publisher Network

Yahoo! Publisher Network is Yahoo!’s answer to Google AdSense. Need I say more? Not much different to Google AdSense except for the fact that Yahoo! Shopping ads also appear in the ad spaces.

AdBrite

adbrite-logo AdBrite can help you monetize your site with advertising that fits the content and user base of your site. AdBrite serves ads on nearly 1 billion pages daily, providing massive scale opportunities. In addition to text and banner ads, AdBrite offers advanced options like our Full Page Ad, BritePic, Inline and InVideo ad types. These formats will allow you to show high-value ads without losing site real estate—and the multimedia formats let you take advantage of the photos and video clips on your site.

BidVertiser

bidvertiser_logo Display the BidVertiser text ads on your website or blog, get paid for every click and have the payments sent directly to your PayPal account. The best thing about BidVertiser is that your advertisers can bid for the ad space on your blog, hence the name BidVertiser. More than being focused on displaying network adverts, BidVertiser CPC slots are more into letting you sell your own blog’s ad spaces to your own site visitors interested in advertising on your site.

Chitika

chitika-logo-thumb-autox70 Chitika ads are a great fit for any website with any type of content including automotive, finance, health, gadgets and electronics, news, sports, travel, etc. If your website gets a lot of U.S. traffic, then Chitika Premium ads are a perfect match for you. Chitika Premium ads will only show to U.S. traffic, and since they are behaviorally targeted they will display to your U.S. search engine traffic (and certain other traffic). When your Premium ad unit does display for a visitor it will show them advertisements they are interested in (because, after all, it’s behaviorally targeted).

A word of caution to you…

76138988_28394182ec_m When you’re looking for AdSense alternatives you’ll find many CPC networks. But just keep in mind that most of these networks also have other types of advertising going for them, such as pop-under or even adverts supported by spammy adware. For an instance, a network like FastClick is getting blocked by most of the leading spyware blockers since it promotes spyware and adware.

Steer clear out of these. Not only they can ruin your relationship with your readers, but when they are blocked, they will most probably ruin your blogs formatting – leaving out large chunks of blank space. However, I can assure you that these programs have no such issues. :-)

  1. I like Adbrite. A lot of different ads targeted at your niche.

  2. Agreed. AdBrite gives the best of both worlds that are AdSense and BidVertiser. And their advertise-base is huge!

  3. I’ve actually been making more with adbrite than with google on my sites. Adbrite and chitika are the only real alternatives. I’ve found since adding adbrite and making the same size ads and having the ad code put in as competition with googles code, google out bids them everytime and pays me more now lol, but somehow i get more clicks on adbrite, maybe its the picture ads i do, or maybe its just curiosity by the visitor.

  4. Wow… Whatever the cause may be, bottom line is that for certain scenario’s AdSense alternatives outdo AdSense. And that’s one place where bloggers are slightly ignorant. Thanks for sharing your story. I’m sure many of us will be pro-AdBrite after this revelation.

I don’t like AdBrite and Bidvertiser because their unrelated ads showing in my content, however i guess they are best choices if i get blocked by Google. Oh no! i don’t know how long can i work with Google? Maybe in a nice day they will block my acc by a stupid reason :(

Thanks Buddy! Now here is my review of all these 5 sites

    Clicksor-not tried till yet
Yahoo! Publisher Network-It’s limited to few countries n also not said to be so popular till now.
Adbrite-I m Using it,it has slow earning and minimum 5$ payout which is good.
Bidvertiser-It’s boring, not having much advertisers, slow earings, bans u without any good reason, i was using it earlier but got banned.
Chitika-I applied For it,but the system is hard to understand so i left it.Not having a Easy To Use Interface.

So At the End Google Adsense Is The Best According To me..

  9. Chitika Fan says:

I’ve been mixing Adsense with Chitika Premium and getting incredible results. I’ve almost tripled my earnings across the board using an alternating system with both networks.

Bidvertiser and Adbrite are total duds in my opnion. My eCPM in both of them was solow I switched to CPA ads.

  10. Nihar says:

I use adbrite but very only one unit on my blog. so, till now i am unable to determine whether adsense will fetch more or adbrite.

  11. Thanks for the tips, I’ve been trying to look elsewhere (other than google) but didn’t know what source to trust!

(Hey, btw, when I see your blog on Internet Explorer, your blog content is all the way to the left, while on Google Chrome, it’s in the middle – which looks better..)

  12. maleos says:

  13. Juddah says:

I have issues with adbrite, ads are showing so slow and only few ads appear on the site and it is always “advertise on adbrite” always written on my site. Hope yahoo publisher network would allow non-us residents.

  14. work says:

I think it is awesome that there are alternatives to Google. The only thing is that most of them will give you only money if the person your site referred buys something or signs up for something.

Google absolutely takes advantage of those who pay for adwords, because most of the clicks they pay for on their ads do not convert to anything. There are plenty of rip-off artists around that find ways to strategically get clicks with thousands of different IP addresses. I feel sorry for the advertisers wasting their money.

Thank you for telling people about the alternatives.

  15. Jimmy says:

I feel that adsense is only good if your site or blog has something worth looking at
not everybody can blog you have to be a creative writer i think.
