The only reason why people should read your blog?

The ultimate reality that bloggers should understand is that they are always selling something. No! Whether you monetize your blog or not, you are always selling something. How? People come and read your blog right? And when they do, they offer something more valuable than their money. Their time! So whether you like or not, to promote your blog, you should always be good in business promotion. And today, we’ll discuss why people should ’spend’ their time and ‘go’ for your blog!

The ultimate key is “Uniqueness”. Yes! That is the only reason why people should read your blog. If you don’t offer original content that could potentially be beneficial for them, would they just read your blog and your blog only? I don’t think so! If the content is offered somewhere else also, then, it’s highly likely that people will check that place out, instead of yours. (Yeah! There’s a 50/50 chance though)

I thought of making this post as I was checking out one of my posts getting ‘Digged’ yesterday. The post was “5 ways you can improve your Link Popularity”. And there was another post with the same name! And I just thought… All the people searching for a similar post, would probably be divided between the two posts. (Yeah! Some would read both, but most wouldn’t!!) So, what’s the point of me putting so much effort in a post, and see I’m not going to get my fair-share of a reader-ship? So on what reason should people read my blog? What can I do to make ‘em?

Original, Unique, Useful content.
1. Content that they can’t get anywhere else.
2. Content so detailed that they don’t need to go anywhere else.
3. Content that is practical and that works!

Maybe I shouldn’t have offered such a post. There might be hundreds of blog posts on the internet on improving your Link Popularity. Maybe I should’ve presented it in a unique way, or just shouldn’t at all had written that, since people can get that information anywhere…

I know, being unique is not easy. As John Mayor says in his song ‘Why Georgia’,
“Everybody is just a stranger and, that’s the danger of going my own way… I guess it’s a price I have to pay”

Yes, it’s a danger, a risk being original. But, original people are the only people who are going to survive in the long run. So try being one. Come up with those wonderful ideas for blog posts. Give less priority for those common posts. Posts like ‘5 ways you could get search engine traffic!’. And as you go along being that, your fountains of inspiration will begin to grow in numbers.
