Technorati Tag Generator
This weekend, I took some time to develop a tool which I think most of you will find very useful on a day-today basis. Yeap! It’s the Technorati Tag Generator. Just specify the Tags you want you blog post to be tagged with and the Technorati Tag Generator will output a HTML code which you can copy/paste at the end of your blog posts.
This will make Technorati index your page under specific topics. And you’ll be entitled to a piece of Technorati’s huge search traffic, depending on the ‘hotness’ of you post.
Feel free to Bookmark This Page and generate Technorati Tags whenever you publish a blog post.

Why should I use Technorati Tag Generator?
- Technorati is still one of the most sought after blog search engines. Using tags will help Technorati visitors find your blog posts.
- Free backlinks from Technorati! You heard me! Certain Technorati tag pages get indexed by Google. And when they do, if your page is tagged with the tag of that page, you’ll get a backlink to your site from a ‘considered important’ site by Google.
- If you’re a news blogger, with a bit of luck, your relevant content might find it easier to get into the Technorati’s frontpage, if you use tags!
Note to my Subscribers: Some of your feed readers may not be able to display the above tool which allows you to generate Technorati tags. If so, please visit this page and bookmark it.
Technorati Tags: technorati tag generator technorati tagging

Heyyy, seems good. (I signed up to Technorati when I first started blogging, but haven’t visited that site since then)
But how about if I already have Tags for my blog posts? they will basically be doubled?
or can I hide them in some way?
Well, Technorati tags are basically different than your Wordpress tags. Wordpress doesn’t really care for Technorati tags. I guess you can hide Wordpress tags from appearing in your posts, though I’m not sure how.
thanks for the info..
Certainly, this is one heck of a tool to maximize on the popularity of Technorati. I have never really paid much attention to Technorati tags and I guess I need to now. Thanks for the tool..

You’re welcome. Yes, it’s a killer way to increase your blog’s exposure on Technorati…
@Leo, there is a WP plugin that does just this. http://www.geekyramblings.org/plugins/wp-tags-to-technorati/
@Nadeesha, This seems like it would go against the typical “put nofollow on every outgoing link” mantra. Do you know if the spiders will ignore tag like they do nofollow?
Thanks nukeit. No they won’t. And it doesn’t hurt your SEO at all to have 5-6 links pointing at the same domain. Frankly, I don’t recommend nofollowing every outgoing link.
I use blogger, but thanks a lot anyway! =)
Great tool as well as great post, thanks for sharing!
How about blogger? Blogger already have Tags for it posts either.. can I hide them too?
Anyway thank for the info
I’m not too sure about that. Sorry. But I strongly suspect whether you can.
This is a great tool. Thanks.
Nadeesha,
I used technorati tags in my blog. but never got traffic from technorati. Do you know what is wrong. Is there anything more that i have to do?
I guess if you have a higher authority, it can bring you a few more hits. The thing is, the biggest beneficiaries of this tool will be news bloggers.
I see that one of my blog technorati authority was 268 and it dropped to 253, why is that?
I will have to give this a try I was looking to get more exposure from technorati, thanks for this info.
