Review: The Book on Winning the Game of Life

The_book_winning_2 Not many days ago, I was approached by Kevin Abdulrahman., through my guest post that was published on Problogger. At that time, I didn’t know whom he was nor anything about his book. Maybe because, he is still early on the process of building up an online presence. But this whole image as an author/motivational speaker/philanthropist was enough to sway me into reading the review copy he sent me of ‘The BOOK - Winning the Game of Life’.

So, why the heck am I doing a book review on this blog, that has little relevancy to it’s niche? I’m going to be extremely honest with you and tell you that I can’t justify myself on that., unless you’ve experienced the same paradigm shifts and epiphanies that will genuinely occur to you, by reading the book itself.

Winning the game of life is the first of the many books that will follow in Kevin Abdulrahman’s “THE BOOK” series. I have read dozens of personality development books and in fact, the guy who inspired me to start blogging was Steve Pavlina. (If you don’t know him, you’ve literally been living under a rock!) So, I’m not the guy who picks up every book that I see. But what made me pick up Kevin’s book was the description on his book about him.

Behind THE BOOKâ„¢ on Winning The Game Of Life is the man who went from flipping burgers at 20, to retiring at the tender age of 25.

And that gave me the inertia I needed to go and read this book. And since I turned the first page, I never regretted reading it. Kevin’s primary goal through this book is to unveil the super weapons to success, for you to win the game of life. For this purpose, he employs a series of analogies from video games and etc.

Who is that successful man? What had he done to make that million and drive that sports car? If I’ve done everything that he has apparently done, why can’t I be as successful as that man? These questions don’t go unanswered in this book. In fact, Kevin shares with us some powerful secrets that successful men employ and practice behind the scenes. True enough, not all of them might be new to you. But the way Kevin brings that up, make you realize how ignorant you have been of that barrier that had limited your potential until now.

To be honest with you, I’ve honestly had a couple of deep self realizations while I was reading this book. I’ve implemented certain regulations in my habits after realizing what damage they have been causing me.

“Wise beyond his years, Kevin has focused on the traits that make common people so uncommonly successful. Life is a game with no timeouts, no substitutions and no instant replay. This book shows us how to move from player to champion”

Dr. Denis Waitley, International Best Selling Author of “The Psychology of Winning”

If Dr. Waitley says that about the book, then my testimonial, should weigh less against it.

This had not been a paid review and I’ve done it purely because I’ve been truly passionate about the lessons that this book offer. This may not be on the typical lines of our subject matter for this blog, but as online entrepreneurs and people seeking success in our lives, the least that this 220 page book can do for you is to show you some unseen doors to the path of your life’s success. Kudos to Kevin for that!

You can check out this great book here.

Hey Rockfuse, great to see the blog back up and running! Your 7 newbie blogging mistakes is one of my favorite posts and I re-read it often to make sure I’m not making any of them, even though I’ve been blogging 2.5 years :)
