Here’s a question – Do you timestamp your posts? Or are you just simply ignoring that – not knowing what you can achieve with it? Most bloggers do not utilize this feature when posting… are you one of them? If so, listen closely.A lot of bloggers can’t find the time to write around the clock. Or at least, post an article at 12 noon and then again wake up and post it at 12 midnight – just like I seem to do. Yes, I post on MindBlogger in 12 hour intervals. And I write my articles, one time, covering for like two days in advance. Embedding more simplification, that means that I write around four articles at a time and I publish them; timestamping them in 12 hour intervals.
That’s why you see exact 12 hour intervals between my posts. And it really works for me and most bloggers since its easy doing it all at once and it will synchronize my posting frequency perfectly. And when some new hot service pops up, I can always do a crash-post, in between my regular articles. So how do I do it?
Simple! Edit your timestamp when posting. You can see the dialog in the right hand side of the interface! That’s it? Yes! That’s it. Staying true to the topic, you can automate all your posts, as long as your blog exists this way, and your readers will know exactly when to predict that post of yours. Basically, when you specify a time in the timestamping dialog, that time is the time that the post is going live. And after setting the time, just press Publish!
I sincerely hope you found this useful if you didn’t indeed utilize it before-hand.
Update:
Mirjam from “Me Myself and I blog” posted this in my comments. And I thought it would be a vital thing to share.
“Hi there,
I wanted to add something to your post, since I recently found out that by using the timestamp regularly, you will run into problems of being banned by pingers … that is if you haven´t edited your ping service. When using the timestamp and automatically ping, your ping will be sent out at the moment of publishing your post not when it actually comes life, so ping services will look for posts that aren’t yet life on your blog… You might want to make sure you have a plugin to make sure you only ping once your post becomes life, like the one I recommend in my post (to ping or not to ping automatically)
This plugin also makes sure your post only gets one ping, not everytime you edit it. ”

Oh eric – you’re most welcome here. Thanks for your comment.
Hi,
I’m Gerry.
Just saying hey – I’m new.
I use Timestamp to automatically post my printed articles on my blog. Cos I can’t put them out before the paper comes out (unethical) and I don’t wake up early on Sunday mornings (lazy).
But the idea of Timestamping posts so that the frequency is retained is a fresh idea. Thanks dude!
Thanks for the tip.Worth trying out.I can also see that pinkboxinggloves came across your blog.
