I just had a minute to kill and so I thought of checking up the site. Signup process is fairly easy and after that you can enter an indefinite number of sites of which the PageRank will be monitored.

You can also create your watch list and make sure you get e-mailed for all your PageRank changes, as it happens, when it happens. Pretty little piece of a lifesaver if you ask me. Just thought you guys would find it useful.

So, coming back to the point, it’s been a while since I’ve started “messing around” with Woopra. The most convenient feature of Woopra is that it’s a standalone application installed on my PC that gives me the statistics of my blog. With that being said, the second most adorable feature that a statistics reporting program can have is, well, being Live! In case, you aren’t into Woopra, it reports LIVE blog statistics. Which means, you get the reports as it happens, when it happens.

For an example, right at this moment while I was writing this post, I got Woopra on screen and checked out what’s up with ROCKFUSE. This is what I got. If you can’t see the details, click on the picture and it’ll give you a larger version of itself.

As you can see, this is what’s happening live on my blog right now. There are two visitors currently browsing. One from Bucharest, Romania and the other from Hyderbad, India. I can see where they came from, what pages they have browsed and are browsing now, their browser, resolution – basically everything!

And what’s cool about is that you can initiate online Live chats with them, and even Tag them and see when and why they are coming back. So, being the socially isolated person I am, I went ahead, logged into my blog and started a conversation with myself.

And – here it is! I was notified on on the page.

And of course, it would be rude not to reply once someone had sent a chat request. So, I went and clicked the popup which brought me to a new browser chat window, so, I (or your visitor) don’t have to be browsing the blog in order to continue the chat. Here’s the magic…

So there you go! I guess this was a fairly useful demonstration of the live interactivity of Woopra. If I’m not mistaken, they are still in beta and you will have to wait sometime till your account gets approved. But as you can see, it’s definitely worth the wait. Thanks to Woopra, I can’t remember the last time I enjoyed watching live TV more than looking at my stats.

Think all you want – but, here’s the tool which gets the job done – Lijit! Revolutionary search tools and stats for your blog…

To tell you about this awesome service, I’d like to take a real world example. For an instance, think that you’re running a technology blog. You review gadgets and stuff. So, there’s this cool gadget that was released just yesterday. You haven’t had time to take a good look at it and review it yet. But, a visitor comes upon your blog and carries out a search for this cool gadget. True enough., when you haven’t reviewed it yet, your visitor might not end up with a satisfactory outcome.

But, Lijit changes all that. Just imagine that you stumbled an article about that cool gadget? Or dugg it? Well, when your visitor carries out that search with Lijit, he/she might not find an article within your blog that could satisfy his/her purpose; but he/she will find that article you stumbled or dugg.

Now without Lijit, that visitor might have been frustrated with your inability to keep up with the trends (it’s 24 hours gone and you’re a techie.. what do you think?) but with Lijit, you get to recommend some external source to the reader, when the reader is in the need of it.

And that is the wonder of Lijit. You can connect all your social networks into one place, with your blog and let your visitors search all of those sources at the same time. You can use it as a customized search form to search your own blog, or a tool to share what you’ve been up to on Digg, StumbleUpon, Facebook and other social networks.

You can recommend other sources worth reading in your site, or you can let them find out your concise opinion on something by referring them to the tweet that you made about whatever they are searching for on your blog. The registration and configuration process is fairly simple. You just have to pick the social networks of your choice, input their login details, customize their appearance, choose exactly how you want search results to appear, and you’re good to go.

What’s more awesome is that you Lijit can get you pretty detailed stats on what your readers are searching your site for. Keep track of these stats and you will be able to find exactly what your readers are expecting of you.

It’s one awesome web 2.0 wonder I came across in the recent past and if you’re interested in giving it a go – well, it can’t hurt… can it?

ReadAir – That is like the coolest new Adobe AIR application for bloggers these days. With it’s Mac OSX interface, it lets you read your Google Reader subscriptions right from your own desktop! You guessed it right. Now you can have ReadAir on your Desktop and it’ll fully synchronize with your Google Reader account.

ReadAir fully supports the Google Reader’s tag functionality and many more features like searching for feeds. You can also Subscribe/Unsubscribe from the feeds logging into AdobeAir.

It’s still at it’s infant stage though. You’re very likely to run into a couple of bugs with the current release of version 0.11. Currently it only let’s you view 20 feed items per feed, although it’s believed to be fixed in the upcoming versions with the addition of the Offline Mode. And for those of you Anti-Mac people, you’d probably be presented with more custom themes in the future; So no issues.

I haven’t really measured Woopra against Google Analytics, but Woopra seems to have the whole package, and something more., which is why I’m making the transition from Google Analytics to Woopra, now. (I’m a huge Google fanatic. But Woopra is just irresistible)

The official Woopra blog announced yesterday about their new service: Woopra Sharing Access. I think the name of the service says it all. To make a long story short, Woopra now allows you to share your sites’ statistics with any third party you want.

Can’t make any use of that? Let’s see. Your blog’s private advertisers need to know how well your blog is doing. Sure, you can always ‘tell’ them how you’re doing. But let’s take your disclosure policy a bit further and prove your self worth to the people you’re earning money from. Let’s show them you live blog stats right here, right now! Woopra Sharing Access let’s you share your live traffic data with anyone you want!

Of course, they would have to be on Woopra for that matter, but I think most of us will be on Woopra soon enough because of the buzz it’s been creating. I would predict that the new statistics sharing access service would take blog networks by storm. Wouldn’t you just love to see how well you’re doing against your partners in crime? I would!
