If there was one factor within the headline that could capture a reader almost instantly, and even subscribe to your blog for long time reference, it would probably be the ‘inspirational factor’. Most of the time, it’s about writing a headline that everyone can relate to - and can appeal to the masses. When people check out your articles, most of the time, it’s not because they like the headline. It’s because the headline inspired them to check out the content below.

Bottom line is, it’s not always about the headline. It’s about having the “wow!” factor of that headline echo through out an inspiring post.

The most difficult process of blogging – good blogging – is coming up with good ideas for new blog posts. Once you have a good idea, the next hardest thing is brainstorming for good content engineering. And this whole brainstorming thing - we will take a closer look on it today – and we’ll also pay some mind to psychology-at-work.

Tip 1 – Have a specific time to brainstorm.

I guess you know what your optimum time to brainstorm. The optimum time your brain is filled with ideas. Well, if you don’t know, just experiment around it.

When I was trying to learn how to play my guitar, one of my friends told me an interesting fact about tuning the guitar. I should always tune it bottom-up. Not top-down. Why? Because if you try to tune it top down, the tension that gets your guitar-string to play a top note will break your guitar-string.

If you don’t get the story above because you are not familiar with guitars, it doesn’t really matter. What this really taught me is it’s the bottom-up approach that you should always use in working your blog-posting-frequency.

From my personal experiences, I believe the post-blogging activities that a blogger does results in generating a major trait of traffic. So I developed a 4-step code for myself to follow after I write a blog post. And I thought it may be cool if more people actually did these things when they are starting off since they had been highly successful for me. So I thought of sharing ‘em with you.

1. Improve your language.
Of course! Spelling and Grammar check is crucial. Seriously! It is surprising to see how serious people will take your Spelling and Grammar mistakes.

Some people just see your blog post topic somewhere in a social networking site or as a trackback in another blog and come to your blog to read the post. And after they read you post, what’s next? Yes, you can ask them to Digg and Stumble it! But wouldn’t you rather want them to spend more time on your blog and read more posts? Get to know your blog more so they come back?
