images The ethical nature of offering paid reviews through a blog had been questioned so much for so long. Some people like John Chow seem to charge $500 for a paid review while some people like my good friend Mike Huang seem to think it’s highly unethical. When I visit a new blog, there are a number of things that convinces me to subscribe to it. Off the top of my head, subscriber count, author’s best posts and the comments count. That doesn’t mean if the subscriber count and the comment count is low, I won’t subscribe to it. But rather, especially the comments count assures me that,

  • People are genuinely interested in your blog.
  • The author encourages and discussion and is willing to get involved with the readers
  • The blog is something worth reading and subscribing to.

Are the commentators so important to the growth of your blog? In my opinion, and as an obvious fact, absolutely yes.

Torturing a blogger!

What exactly makes other bloggers stop following your blog? Depending on you niche, the actual bloggers that follow your blog can vary. In my niche, probably 90% of the people following are all bloggers. And, by ‘following‘ I mean,

  • Subscribing to RSS Feed by Reader or E-mail
  • Commenting on the site
  • Giving the occasional drop-in
  • Keep in contact with you through e-mail

What exactly do other blogger want from following you up?

Difference between a normal web surfer following your blog and another blogger following your blog is immense. Mainly because, bloggers expect certain things in return when they comment you up or follow you up. Well, most of them.

Whatever you do, I believe this post will shed some light onto mistakes that you might already have done, or are doing, and what to do about it. No one is perfect nor born with the knowledge of a expert blogger. When you start of course, everything seems to be one big mess because everyone starts as a newbie (now that’s a bit obvious). How good we actually are depends on how efficiently we evolve, right?

Should bloggers be taken seriously?

Posted by: User ImageNadeesha Cabral In: Blogging Insights

Here’s my point. Clear and Concise. Bloggers are so full of themselves. They hardly mean their own words. All they care about is finding money working from home. They are evil, ruthless, and can get really violent while proving their own point. An immoral bunch of people, can probably be regarded as the root of all evil! They do not respect the other’s opinion and they always think they are right! Right?

Wrong! That’s everything that a blogger isn’t. Or at least, shouldn’t be. But even if we were a bunch of people like that, you would take us seriously! I mean, very SERIOUSLY! Why?
