Technorati Tag Generator

This weekend, I took some time to develop a tool which I think most of you will find very useful on a day-today basis. Yeap! It’s the Technorati Tag Generator. Just specify the Tags you want you blog post to be tagged with and the Technorati Tag Generator will output a HTML code which you can copy/paste at the end of your blog posts.

This will make Technorati index your page under specific topics. And you’ll be entitled to a piece of Technorati’s huge search traffic, depending on the ‘hotness’ of you post.

How I lost more than 50+ RSS Subscribers - and How You Can Too!

blogging-tools: How I lost more than 50+ RSS Subscribers - and How You Can Too!Oh yes I did! But I need to tell you that it wasn’t exactly the readers i lost, but rather the count of the readers. At that time the blog had 340ish feed subscribers and was barely moving. Seemed like people were not subscribing to ROCKFUSE at all.

Not to mention, being the staticaholic I am, I was really frustrated and was asking anyone and everyone whether there was a fundamental flaw in my blog’s design. And nope! There was nothing wrong with the blog design - which frustrated me even more.

What can keyword bolding do for me?

Well, search engines have been known to give more importance to HTML tags like <h1>, <h2>, <b> in your content. SezWho - Does it work?

I never really took any notice of SezWho until it’s partnership with Entrecard. When they announced the partnership, I decided to give it a go nevertheless. I know, I know, there’s a question about the quality of traffic that Entrecard sends, and many bloggers have left Entrecard because of that. But, maybe, this is an instance where the quality of traffic can actually be increased by one bit at least.

But, this post is not to discuss the over-blogged “Entrecard+SezWho” - but rather, solely about “SezWho”.

The easiest appearances to prove the existence of SezWho in a blog is the “Rate This” section underneath posts/comments or both with 5 stars.

A simple secret which can reduce Wordpress spam comments by 90%

151804952_d3af9353d4_mIt’s no secret that ROCKFUSE is a dofollow blog. Thought I don’t use the traditional dofollow badges used by all the other blogs that have taken the time to remove the ‘nofollow’ tag, I’ve created my own and I think it’s pretty visible in the sidebar.

Now, why did I exactly made this blog dofollow? Or in that case, why does any blogger make his/her blog dofollow? The obvious reason to do this is to influence comments. If you are in need of developing backlinks to your blog, you’d find that blog commenting is one of the easiest methods to do this - and dofollow blogs stand a higher chance of getting quality comments because of this.

But, there’s a claim that when you remove the nofollow tags, it will lure a lot of spam comments.
