So today, I’m going to give you guys a bit of a search engine optimization tip. It might get a bit geeky around here:)

Some of us may heavily rely on search engine traffic and some of us might actually care lees about it. But, whether you actually care about the search engine traffic that you get or not, one SEO factor that you probably should give a damn would be Google Page Rank.

Why? Well, Google Page Rank is not all about getting you Google traffic. It’s a widely accepted yardstick for measuring a blog’s popularity.

I’ve heard this questions countless times on walkthroughs, blog posts and forums. Conventional SEO(Search Engine Optimization) tell us that it is really a fake PageRank that is being displayed in the Google Toolbar. I don’t think anyone had come up with hard evidence to prove or deny this, but a lot of conspiracy theorists(including me) support this claim. It it likely that Google develops it’s own ranking of a page, that is not disclosed, through it’s algorithms. A rank other than the one displayed in the Google toolbar.

Why it is likely for a Secret PR to exist and to be undisclosed

Google’s main intention had been and still is to serve the most relevant content to the millions of search queries submitted daily.

Meanwhile, I thought of sharing some noteworthy predictions and evaluate them from my perspectives. See whether we can break the Google code.

• The Maka-Maka Project

This will probably be “Google in your face” for Facebook. Yes, I am so sure about that. They are on their way unifying all the applications for probably the biggest social network ever built. Just imagine the vast resources Google can throw at this?

As short as it gets, Start a Blog! Yes. That’s a guaranteed way you can boost your sales income or daily page hits. Need convincing?

• Search engines love content-sites
  

  Having a blog with lots of content will make search engines virtually fall in love with your site.
  

• Giving your visitors a library of what they are searching for
  

  Suppose you are promoting a tourism site. Having a traveler’s blog with tips and reviews about travelling will keep your visitors constantly referring to your site.

Well, when people start marketing their sites, they always end up searching for Google hacks. Mainly because some indeed give you the edge in promoting your site in Google, for.., well, a very short period of time! It’s true. Whatever ‘Magic Beans’ that someone will give you to boost your Google ranking might just be good for a couple of days. And those ‘Magic Beans’ would start to rot thereafter and the next thing you know, your site had been blacklisted by Google.

So is there an answer to this?
