What is a Favicon, Why you need it, and How to add one to your blog…
Well, long story short - Favicon means Favorite Icon. It supports and enhances the branding of a web site by actually displaying a customized icon in the browser’s URL box, and next to the site’s bookmark in a browser’s bookmark list. For an example, if you’re in the tabbed mode of your browser, you can see the logo of ROCKFUSE appearing in a 16×16 pixel size. The same with your browser’s URL, if you’re using a supporting browser. The Favicon is indeed an ico file that is 16×16 pixels.
Do I really need it?
Well, if you think that a 16×16 image can’t change how your blog performs, I’d say you’re right.

When I first heard about this 301 redirect thingy, I didn’t take it too seriously. But now, I’ve found enough and more reasons to take it into consideration. And I think you should too, before it’s too late.
ome people just see your blog post topic somewhere in a social networking site or as a trackback in another blog and come to your blog to read the post. And after they read you post, what’s next? Yes, you can ask them to Digg and Stumble it! But wouldn’t you rather want them to spend more time on your blog and read more posts? Get to know your blog more so they come back? Now we’ll see how you can make ‘em.
