Well, I got to say, I’ve been trying out quite a few free traffic ‘springs’ for blogs lately. And it was BlogRush that really impressed me with it’s ways.
BlogRush’s method of giving away free traffic involves with awarding its members with credits for what they do. i.e. display their widget and refer other potential bloggers to their system. Apparently, you are awarded a credit for each time the widget is displayed in your blog. And you also get a specific number of credits when you refer someone to their traffic system with the unique referral URL allocated for you. And with each credit you get, one of your posts will be displayed in the widget of another blogger. Suppose you earned 100 credits; You will get 100 displays of your blog posts with another bloggers widget. That’s 100 potential chance of page hits and traffic.
BlogRush claims that it’s widget will display other blog posts that are relevant to your content. In other words, if you write a blog post about ‘Bat Man’, your post will appear in a dedicated Marvel fan’s blog rather than a travel blog. You’re getting free traffic from the most relevant people. This is cool, huh? Well, so far, I’ve seen some pretty irrelevant stuff appearing in my widget. So I am not backing up this claim 100%.
However, I believe it’s a service worth checking out. But if you are running out of space with the widget and have to go through hell and back to make this widget appear-able in the blog, then you might want to check it out a bit. Play around a bit and see how it helps your traffic. It’s free anyway!
I am too in the ‘check-that-thing-out’ stage with BlogRush. But, it seems pretty promising. I hope to write more on BlogRush pretty soon though. And maybe in the future, I’ll even publish my traffic stats.., After I’ve done some comprehensive researching. But, feel free to check it out now. And perhaps, you can share your personal insights!
