The wonders of honest blog reviews

Untitled-1

You know, running a blog is like running a TV station. It’s new media for one thing and secondly, it’s one of the most powerful means of new media. Everyone has an opinion and unlike a TV station, for a fraction of that cost (or no cost at all), you’ll be running a blog. And like all interactive media, you’ll have a list of followers - subscribers for your blog. And like all journalists, you’re free to be opinionated and offer your opinion through your blog. And this is where blog reviews come in.

Offering your opinion through your blog can both play out for the better and the worse.

8 Twitter tools that you should probably check-out!

I’ve been on Twitter for sometime, and lately been a bit addicted to it. On my quest for enhancing my Twitter experience, I stumbled upon some awesome Twitter tools. But 8 of them were so exceptional that I thought that they’re probably worth sharing with the ROCKFUSE readers. So, here goes…

Twhirl - This is probably the best Twitter client for Windows out there. Let’s you post Tweets from the PC, sort Direct Messages and Replies, shorten URLs and so forth. If you’re looking for a Twitter client, this is my personal recommendation.

Twitter Tools - Integrate your blog into Twitter.

I will not comment spam you since I’ve no idea about your niche

Do you receive loads of comments with only two lines? Or just simply  words like., “Nice Article…”? For some of you it might be just another comment but for most of you, this will be yet another blog comment spam mechanism. For most of the niche bloggers, especially do-follow blog owners, this is a nightmare scenario. It’s easy to discard the gibberish spam comments left by spam bots but discarding a comment left by a human is not that easy.

The comments attached to a blog post are there for a reason.

Why Google AdSense doesn’t work on some niche blogs

Google AdSense As you can see, I’ve stopped running Google AdSense on my blog. I knew sometime back that I’d be forced to stop running it somewhere down the line but never thought it should be this soon. And if you’ve observed the fact, many blogs in the same niche as mine do not run AdSense at all.

Although AdSense can be highly effective in some niches, in some, like mine, it can be fairly useless and a waste of resources. The objective of this blog post is not to tell you guys that “AdSense sucks!”, because it doesn’t.

When you can’t find the time to keep your blog afloat…

Well, first off, I would like to apologize from all of my readers for the lack of contribution within the past few days in the terms of posting! Guys, exams are never a good thing for a procrastinator of education, is it? Nevertheless, I’m back and thinking that I should talk a bit about “Saving up for rainy days”.

s_ship_in_huge_waves_and_crazy_storm375Well, I’m sure if you’ve been blogging for some time, once in a while these days come-up that you’re unable to contribute anything valuable to your blog. Maybe because you just can’t get over procrastination or maybe because it gets so busy and time flies by.

Woopra just got cooler with Woopra Sharing Access

woopra_sharing_access Now, for those of you who haven’t heard of Woopra, well, I reckon’ you take a second to check them out. It’s a Web 2.0 live traffic statistics reporting program - much like Google Analytics, but with the coolest interface design and data representation, around town.

I haven’t really measured Woopra against Google Analytics, but Woopra seems to have the whole package, and something more., which is why I’m making the transition from Google Analytics to Woopra, now. (I’m a huge Google fanatic. But Woopra is just irresistible)
