What to expect from Google in 2008?

I was going through the Google Operating System’s posts a few days earlier and found this post which is giving some predictions about things to come on our way. You can read the full post here. Why blogging for money hardly works.

Before I break the grounds, let me just say that there are hundreds of full-time bloggers earning thousands of dollars per month. The point conveyed here is that blogging for money hardly works. As in, if your ultimate motive of blogging is to find money, it sometimes may end-up in ruins. Making money, as a side-effect of writing about something you’re passionate about, really works.

To make money blogging, there are a few things you must first fulfill.

  • You must really have a passion for what you’re writing.
  • You must have a worked-out writing frequency.
  • You should stick to a definite topic or a niche to encourage subscriptions and discussions.
  • If you want to continue making money, you should not get tired of the blogging niche and be willing to continue at all costs.
  • You should make it through the rough times of $0 income and ‘no comments’.

Unless you fulfill these things, you will not live to see your first check.

Wordpress or Blogspot - The unseen perspective

Well, this whole new perspective struck my mind when one of my good friends inquired me on what platfor he should start blogging. Blogspot or Wordpress. Well, among many of us bloggers the obvious answer would be “Wordpress!! Yes dude, I’m definite!!” right? But I was like “Wordpress.. But not entirely sure”. Well, for him and all of you, here’s the justification of the phrase.

Let’s be honest. There’s no blogging platform on this planet which at the moment, beats Wordpress. Mainly because it’s free, and has got great support from all around.
