How to choose between FrontPage and Dreamweaver

When you were going to create a web site of even going to edit a simple web page, did this question cross your mind? Well, to me, hundreds of times. Microsoft FrontPage and Adobe Dreamweaver (formerly Macromedia’s) has got some definite advantages over each other. So this is my code of choosing between the applications.

1. The experience level.

First and foremost, you have to figure out the expertise you have on the field. If you’re relatively less-experienced, FrontPage is the tool for you. It’s ultra simple and you don’t have to write even one line of code to get the most complicated thing done.

Blogging The Movie - A movie about bloggers?

Well, it might be a bit late to do a fresh post on this but anyways, it’s just too good to not to blog about it! Yes! the headline does justice. It’s a documentary about bloggers.

As the clip tells you, it follows the day-today lives of 10 bloggers. And two of my favorites are in that! John Chow and Darren Rowse. The producer, Prija Phaphouampheng, has a pretty interesting plan for fundraising for this movie. You can check out John Chow’s sponsored review of the movie here.As a sidenote, I am sure the blogger community would embrace this movie - no doubt!

Have you tried blogging through Microsoft Word 2007?

Bloggin funtions in MS Word 2007

Well, actually, I was a bit surprised why Microsoft bothered about giving so much attention to a blogger’s needs. And I mean real needs.

It’s just as good as any journaling software, and better. Imagine Word’s formatting functionalities in a blog post? That’s bound to get some thumbs up. Except for that,

  • You can pretty much manage multiple blog accounts.
  • Supports all the major blog platforms – yes, that includes Wordpress.
  • Can upload all the embedded images to your local uploads folder.
  • Can categorize your blog posts right inside Word – even create new categories.
  • Edit any post that is published online easily.
  • Can handle all the word-arts, the charts and the tables within!

That’s pretty much worth it right?
