If you had been in the blog-sphere for sometime, you know that there are some million dollar questions that some bloggers are searching magic beans for. Questions like how to increase the RSS subscription by 5000 overnight, how to get 10000 unique visitors overnight, how to earn millions online and so on. And by magic beans I mean quick fixes and ultimate secrets.

But do those magic beans exist? There are few tips circulating the sphere on how specific blog types with specific number of loyal readers can outperform their daily performance.

Imagine you get a free one-year subscription for Magazine A or Magazine B; of either you should choose. The choice is yours. You can’t pick both. You have no prior experience with either and you have no way to decide other than looking at the cover page. The thing is one magazine has a kick-ass logo design and the other one is just simple!

<>And just by looking at it, you’ll probably select the one with the good design, right? Now what if we can apply the same thing to a blog? Suppose you have good content and a good blog design.

301 redirect!When I first heard about this 301 redirect thingy, I didn’t take it too seriously. But now, I’ve found enough and more reasons to take it into consideration. And I think you should too, before it’s too late.

What’s the big deal?

Well, you know that once you have a domain of your own, you can address it with or without the ‘www’ right? And any sane human being would know that http://www.rockfuse.com or http://rockfuse.com mean the same. But those search engine spiders do not get it. Yes, in fact, they treat those two URLs as URLs of two different sites. Even Google!

The only way to beat Google in the long-run!

Well, when people start marketing their sites, they always end up searching for Google hacks. Mainly because some indeed give you the edge in promoting your site in Google, for.., well, a very short period of time! It’s true. Whatever ‘Magic Beans’ that someone will give you to boost your Google ranking might just be good for a couple of days. And those ‘Magic Beans’ would start to rot thereafter and the next thing you know, your site had been blacklisted by Google.

So is there an answer to this?

From my personal experiences, I believe the post-blogging activities that a blogger does results in generating a major trait of traffic. So I developed a 4-step code for myself to follow after I write a blog post. And I thought it may be cool if more people actually did these things when they are starting off since they had been highly successful for me. So I thought of sharing ‘em with you.

1. Improve your language.
Of course! Spelling and Grammar check is crucial. Seriously! It is surprising to see how serious people will take your Spelling and Grammar mistakes.
